The Linksys MX4300 (LN1301) supports Plug-n-Play Setup for Automatic Configuration - DHCP internet connection types. This means that upon connection to your modem and detection of an internet connection, the router will automatically configure itself.
Before you begin:
- Customers with PPPoE service providers or those using a static WAN IP address must perform a manual setup.
- Learn more about the light behavior of the Linksys MX4300 (LN1301).
Directions
1. Disconnect your current router.
2. Connect your modem to the router's Internet port using an ethernet cable.
3. Allow the Plug-n-Play setup to initiate. The light on the Linksys router will begin flashing white, indicating that the Plug-n-Play setup is in progress.
Wait until the light turns to a solid blue. This may take a few minutes.
Is the light not turning solid blue?

- If you are connecting your new Linksys MX4300 (LN1301) to an existing upstream network, in certain scenarios, the Plug-n-Play setup may not activate. Click here for manual setup instructions.
4. Your network is now ready for use. You can now connect your devices to the default WiFi using the provided name and password at the bottom of the router. For mobile devices, you can scan the QR code at the bottom of the router for easy setup.
