Incompatible nodes found error message
If you are setting up your Linksys Velop Mesh™ network or are adding child nodes and have received the Incompatible nodes found message, it is important to know that due to differences in Wi-Fi® technology, Cognitive Mesh technology products are not backward compatible with Intelligent Mesh technology products.
This means that the parent node (the one connected to the modem) and the child nodes found are not compatible. Your Linksys Mesh network must either be all Intelligent Mesh nodes or all Cognitive Mesh.
