You can download the Linksys app on your smartphone for free, and it allows you to access and manage your home network, router features, settings, and configuration securely through your Linksys Smart WiFi Router-connected mobile device. This guide will explain how to install the app correctly using the Google Play™ Store or the Google Play website. Additionally, you may also install the Linksys app on your Apple® devices. The Linksys app exclusively functions with Linksys Mesh Routers and Linksys Smart WiFi Routers.
Basic requirements for installation:
- Active internet connection
- Android™ 9.0 and later
- Active Gmail™ or Google Play Store account
Google Play Store
1. Select the Play Store icon.
2. Sign in to your active Gmail or Google Play Store account, then follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Tap search, enter “Linksys” in the search field, and then tap the search icon.
4. Select the Linksys app installer.
5. Tap Install and wait for the download to complete.
Once finished, either tap Open or locate the Linksys app icon on your device's navigation menu to start using it.
Google Play website
Before you begin:
- Ensure your Android device is connected to the internet before proceeding with the installation.
- You must create and associate your email address with your device. You can refer to your device’s user manual for information about how this process works.
1. Access the Google Play website or enter "https://play.google.com/store" in the Address bar of a browser.
2. Search for “Linksys app” on the Google Play website.
3. Click Install.
4. Select the Android device on which you wish to install the Linksys app and then click on the INSTALL button.
5. Enter your password for authentication and click Next.
6. Click on OK to complete the installation.
You can verify whether the installation was successful by checking if the Linksys app icon is present in your device's navigation menu.
