A Ping Test helps trace the communication between the computer or the router to any website or device connected to the network. In the IP or Url Address field, enter the IP or host name of the website or device that you want to test, the Packet Size, and your desired Number to ping before clicking on Start to Ping. QUICK TIP: Number to ping is the number of times your computer will seek out replies from a website or specific device. It is set to 5 by default. A Traceroute Test is used to trace the route across an internet network from your home router to a remote location specified in the IP or Url Address box. Enter the IP or host name you want to test and click on Start to Traceroute. |
