This article will teach you how to set up the Linksys SPNMX56DU for du™ ISP in the Middle East when you have reset your router and need to set it up again.
Before you begin:
- Auto Configuration Server (ACS) support - This router supports automatic setup. This means that once the router is plugged into the du equipment and detects an internet connection, it will automatically configure itself as the parent router. Do not try to set up the node with the Linksys app while the node is going through the ACS setup, the Linksys app will not detect the node.
- Parent node - A parent router/node is the Linksys Velop Mesh router that will be connected to your du equipment.
- Child node - A child node is another node used to extend your WiFi, such as another Linksys SPNMX56DU.
- Write down the default WiFi name, password, and recovery key located on the bottom of the parent router.
Directions
1. Power ON the router and connect an ethernet cable to the Internet port on the router and at the other end to the du equipment.
2. The node will show a solid purple light which means it’s ready for setup.
3. After a few minutes, the indicator light will begin to flash in white. This means automatic setup has begun.
4. Once the light turns solid blue, the parent node has completed setup and it’s online and ready to use. You can now connect your wireless clients to your WiFi network. The WiFi credentials are located on the product label.
5. Connect your computer to the default WiFi name to manage your router settings.
6. Open a desktop browser and enter "myrouter.local" or "https://192.168.1.1".
7. Click on the mobile image.
8. In the Access Router section, click Reset password and enter the recovery key then create a new password when prompted.
9. You will now land on the dashboard.
