1. What is Two-Step Verification?
Two Step Verification requires a six-digit verification code when logging in via the Linksys app or the Linksys Smart WiFi web interface using your Linksys server account. The addition of this feature to the Linksys app will help provide an additional layer of security and peace of mind for Linksys users.
2. What Linksys products support Two-Step Verification?
All the Linksys Velop products, Linksys Mesh routers, Linksys Smart WiFi routers, and Linksys EA Series routers support Two Step Verification.
3. What requirements do I need to use Two-Step Verification?
Two Step Verification requires any of the supported Linksys products and a Linksys server account. If you are using the Linksys app, make sure to install the latest version.
4. Where will the verification code be sent?
The verification code will be sent through text message or your email address.
- Text messaging may not be available in certain countries. Email messaging is available worldwide.
5. What do I do if I have not received the verification code?
If you have not received the verification code, you can either check the spam folder in your emails or you can resend your verification code.
6. Does Linksys ask for a verification code every time you log in?
If the Remember this device for 30 days checkbox is not checked, it will prompt for a code every single time you log in. You can always check the box if you prefer to.
7. How many times can you enter a wrong verification code?
If you entered the wrong verification code three times, you will need to request a new code to proceed.

No. However, you must have the latest Linksys app.

Yes. The Two-Step Verification settings are saved in the cloud. Any changes made in the Linksys app or the Linksys Smart WiFi web interface will be set on both platforms.
13. If a Linksys server account is associated with multiple networks, can I use the Two-Step Verification feature in the other networks?
Yes. Once you enable the Two-Step Verification feature in the Account settings, this feature will be applied to all the networks associated to that Linksys server account.
