The hardware version is located beside or beneath the model number and is labeled version, ver., or V. If there is no version number beside the model number on your Linksys product, the device is version 1. If you still have trouble finding your version number, refer to the complete article for more information.
Setting up the Linksys E5450 (LN3101)
1. Turn ON your Linksys router.
2. Connect your router to the modem via the internet port.
- If you have a separate modem and a standalone router, disconnect and remove your old router.
- If you have a modem-router, leave it connected.
3. Launch a desktop browser and enter either http://myrouter.local or http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar and hit [ENTER].
This will prompt the setup wizard to begin automatically.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the setup.

1. Log in to the router's web interface.
2. Go to Configuration > WiFi.
3. Tap Basic Wireless Settings, set your SSID, and then tap Save.
4. Navigate to Wireless Security, then set your security mode and passphrase. Tap Save to apply the changes.
5. Connect your devices to your new network name using the updated password.
