The Linksys SPNMX56BF features one 2.5 Gbps WAN port and offers massive simultaneous capacity for video, gaming, and high-speed data. It is easy to add to a modular system of nodes to give you flawless WiFi everywhere and easily replaces a traditional connection router with a mesh system.

This router is for BeFibre® subscribers in the UK.

Where can I find the node’s serial and model numbers? The serial and model numbers are printed on the product label. You can also identify the node through the following:

  • Product label: SPNMX56
  • Packaging label: SPNMX56BF-UK
  • Linksys app and web interface: MX5600 Series
What is the warranty on the node? For warranty information, contact BeFibre.
Does it have indicator lights? The node has one status indicator light that gives you information about its operation.
Can it be wall-mounted? No, this is not supported.

How many ethernet ports are there on the node? It has four ethernet ports:

  • One 2.5 Gbps internet (WAN) port
  • Three 1 Gbps ethernet (LAN) ports
What are its weight and dimensions? The weight and dimensions are as follows:

  • Dimensions: 3.385 x 3.385 x 7.3 in

SETUP AND INSTALLATION
How do I set up the node? BeFibre installers will provide first-time installation. However, if you have reset your node, you need to reconfigure it through Auto Configuration Server (ACS) setup
What are the requirements for setting up the node? You will need the following:

  • BeFibre internet connection
  • Latest version of the Linksys app
  • Latest desktop browser
How do I add a child node to the Linksys SPNMX56BF?

There are a few ways to add a child node. You can also add a node that is not from BeFibre, as long as it's set up as a child node, not a parent. However, be aware that it may not support all the features offered by BeFibre. Contact BeFibre first.

Where can I find the default WiFi name and password? These can be found on the router's product label. The default WiFi name is BeFibre followed by the last four characters of the node’s MAC address (i.e., BeFibre_xxxx). Each router has a unique pre-assigned WiFi password.
What is the default administrative password? The default admin password is the same as the default WiFi password found on the product label.
How do I configure the WiFi access for guests? You can enable WiFi access for your guests through the Guest Access/Guest Network feature on the Linksys app.
How do I configure Parental Controls? You can enable Parental Controls using the Linksys app to schedule a pause or pause internet access for your connected devices.
Can I set up the node using the Linksys app?

No. The node supports the BeFibre automatic setup via ACS. Once the node is connected from the Internet port to the BeFibre equipment, it will begin to self-configure. If you try to set up the node with the app at this time, it will not detect the node. This is because it is detecting and setting up an internet connection for the parent node. Wait until the status light is solid blue, which means that the node is online and ready to use. You can then add the node to your Linksys app to manage your network.

ADVANCED TROUBLESHOOTING
