The Linksys SPNMX56HF-UK is a Linksys Velop Intelligent Mesh™ router provided by Hey!Broadband ISP in the United Kingdom.

This article will show you how to set up and configure your Linksys SPNMX56HF-UK.

Before you begin:

  • The default WiFi name is Hey!Broadband_XXXX where XXXX is the last four alphanumeric characters of the MAC address. The default WiFi password is located on the node's product label.
  • Auto Configuration Server (ACS) support - This node supports automatic setup via ACS with Hey!Broadband ISP. This means that once the node is plugged into the Hey!Broadband modem and detect an internet connection, it will automatically configure itself as the parent node. Once the light turns solid blue, the node is set up and online.

DO NOT try to set up the node with the Linksys app while the node is going through the ACS setup because the Linksys app will not detect the node. Wait until the node self-configures and the status light is solid blue.

  • Parent node - The Linksys SPNMX56HF that is connected to your modem.
  • Child node - A child node is another node used to extend your WiFi network. The child node can be wireless or wired, such as another Linksys SPNMX56HF.

Directions:

1. Power ON your router and connect an ethernet cable from your Hey!Broadband modem's port to the internet port of the Linksys SPNMX56HF-UK.

2. Wait for the status light to turn solid purple, meaning it is ready for setup.

Solid Purple - Ready for setup

3. After a few minutes, the status light will begin to flash white; this indicates that the node is going through an ACS setup.

4. Once the status light is solid blue, the parent node has completed the setup, and it is online and ready to use.

Solid blue - Ready

You can now connect your devices using the default WiFi name. The default password is on the node's product label.
