This article will show you how to set up the Linksys SPNMX57CF-UK for Community Fibre internet service provider (ISP) subscribers.
Before you begin:
- Write down the WiFi name (SSID) and password located on the product label of the Linksys SPNMX57CF-UK. The password is case-sensitive.
- Automatic Setup Support:
- The Linksys SPNMX57CF-UK supports setup through Automatic Configuration Server (ACS). Once the node is powered ON and connected to the Community Fibre equipment, it will begin to detect an internet connection automatically and configure itself as the parent node. If you have reset your node and need to set it up again, do not attempt to set up the node with the Linksys app.
Follow these steps:
1. Disconnect your old router.
2. Connect your new Linksys router to your modem using the Internet port.
3. Power ON the Linksys router.
4. A solid purple light will appear, indicating the router is ready for setup.
5. After a few minutes, the indicator light will flash white, signaling the automatic setup process. Once the light turns solid blue, the router is successfully online.
Is the light not turning solid blue?
- Ensure the Linksys router is properly connected to your modem via the Internet port.
- If the router displays a solid red light, press and hold the reset button on the bottom of the router for about 20 seconds. Once the light turns solid purple, wait a few minutes to see if it changes to solid blue.
- If you’re still unable to connect, contact Community Fibre ISP for further assistance.
6. Your WiFi is now ready to use. Use the WiFi name and password located on the product label at the bottom of the router to connect your devices to the new network.
