Overview of the status light on the Linksys Cognitive Mesh products

The Linksys Cognitive™ Mesh nodes have one status light that gives you information about its operation.

Supported Linksys models: MX6200 series, MBE7000 series, LN1100 series, LN1200 series, LN1400 series, and LN1600 series.

Before you begin:

Parent router - Is the Linksys node that is connected to your modem or internet source.
Child node - Is an additional node such as another Linksys Cognitive Mesh product that you can add to extend your WiFi network.

Light Color	Status	Description
None	OFF	Router is not powered ON Night mode feature is enabled and the light automatically turns OFF from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Blue	Blinking	Router is booting up Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) pairing for parent node only This is not supported on the Linksys LN1600
Blue	Solid	Node is ready for setup
White	Blinking	Setup or pairing is in progress Firmware update is in progress
White	Solid	Node is set up and online
Red	Solid	No internet connection. Check your internet connection.
Red	Blinking	While pressing the reset button (blinking light in a fading effect) Child node is disconnected from the parent node
Orange	Blinking	WPS pairing failed or adding a child node was not detected when using the Pair button on the parent router This is not supported on the Linksys LN1600
