Resetting the Linksys FGMM1000 and FGMM601

When your router is reset, all the settings that you have customized such as the WiFi name and password will be erased. This article will show you how to reset the Linksys FGMM1000 5G WiFi 6 Industrial Router and Linksys FGMM601 5G Outdoor Router to its factory default settings.

There are two ways to reset your router. Select from the options below to learn how.

 

Manual reset
 
1. Make sure that your router is connected to a power source and is turned ON.

2. Remove the cover to expose the pinhole reset button for Linksys FGMM1000.
 
 
 
For Linksys FGMM601, unscrew the cap.
 

3. For Linksys FGMM1000, press and hold the pinhole reset button for 5 seconds, and release. For Linksys FGMM601, use an object to press the reset button.
 
 

Software reset
 

2. Go to Administration and choose Factory Reset under Device Management.

3. Under Factory Reset, click on RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS.
 
 
 
You have now successfully reset your router. Once the default WiFi name is broadcasting, you can now connect back to your router.
