Setting up the Linksys SPNMX42CTF-UK

This article will teach you how to set up the Linksys SPNMX42CTF-UK for Connect Fibre ISP.

Before you begin

  • The node must be connected directly to the Connect Fibre equipment. Connect Fibre requires traffic to go through a VLAN ID. If the node is connected to an upstream network device other than the ISP’s equipment, it will not detect any traffic.  Connecting the node to an upstream router is not supported.
  • The router supports Automatic Setup via Connect Fibre’s Auto Configuration Server (ACS) feature, which means that once the router is plugged into Connect Fibre’s equipment, it will self-configure. Do not use the app; wait until the node has a solid blue light.
  • Default SSID is Connect_Fibre_xxxx, where xxxx is the last four digits of the MAC address
  • Admin password - Once the parent node has an internet connection, the default admin password will automatically change to the default WiFi password located on the product label.

Directions

1. Power ON your node and connect an ethernet cable to the internet port in the router, and the other end to your Connect Fibre equipment. A solid purple light on the node indicates that it is ready for the setup.

2. Wait a few minutes.  The indicator light will go from solid purple to blinking white, indicating that it is configuring itself. Once the light is solid blue, the node is online and ready to use.

3. You can now connect your clients to your new WiFi. The WiFi credentials are located on the product label.

To manage the node with the Linksys app, make sure to connect your mobile device to your WiFi. Download the Linksys app. For an Android™ device, click here. For iOS devices, click here
