Manually updating the firmware of the Linksys MX4300 (LN1301)
It's highly recommended to keep the router set to automatic firmware updates. The Linksys MX4300 (LN1301) will automatically update when new firmware becomes available. However, manual firmware upgrades are supported if needed.
Before you begin:
- You will need a computer.
- You will need to download the latest firmware from the Linksys MX4300 (LN1301) support site.
Directions
1. Log in to the Linksys router’s web interface.
2. Scroll to the bottom and click on the CA link.
3. Click on Connectivity.
4. Click on Choose File, select the firmware that you previously downloaded, and click Start.
5. During the update, do not disconnect the router.
Once prompted, click on Ok and then confirm by clicking Ok again.
