LED Guide for Linksys Mesh Routers: MX6200, MBE7000, LN1400 & LN1600

Each Linksys Cognitive™ Mesh node features a single light that indicates its current operation.
 

Supported Linksys models:
 

  • MX6200 series
  • MBE7000 series
  • LN1400 series
  • LN1600 series


Before you begin:

 

  • Parent router - Is the Linksys node that is connected to your modem or internet source.
  • Child node - Is an additional node, such as another Linksys Cognitive Mesh product, that you can add to extend your WiFi network.

 


Linksys MX6200, MBE7000, and LN1400

Linksys LN1600

Light Color Status Description

None
OFF
  • The router is not powered ON
  • Night mode feature is enabled, and the light automatically turns OFF from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM


Blue

Blue indicator light

Blinking

  • The router is booting up
  • Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) pairing for parent node only
    • WPS is not supported on the Linksys LN1600
Solid
  • Node is ready for setup

White

White indicator light
 

Blinking
  • Setup or pairing is in progress
  • Firmware update is in progress
Solid
  • Node is set up and online


Red

Red Indicator light
Solid
  • No internet connection. Check your internet connection.

 

Blinking

  • While pressing the reset button (blinking light in a fading effect)
  • The child node is disconnected from the parent node

Orange

Orange indicator light
Blinking
  • WPS pairing failed, or adding a child node was not detected when using the Pair button on the parent router
    • WPS is not supported on the Linksys LN1600
