Pausing internet access is easy using the Parental Controls feature on the Linksys app. This article will provide instructions on how to do that.

You will have either Parental Controls or Family Time in the Linksys app, however pausing internet access is the same in both features.

1. Log in to the Linksys app.

2. Tap on the menu icon, then tap on Parental Controls or Family Time. 

3. Tap on Control a Device if you have not set up Parental Controls, and then select a device from the list. Options will vary by model.


 
If you already have Parental Controls or Family Time on one or more devices, tap Add a device.

4. Select a device.



5. Tap Pause Internet Access on the pause button to pause the internet for a device. Options will vary by model. Learn how to schedule a pause.

6. You will see a red bar across the device showing Internet paused. To resume access tap Resume Internet Access on the play button.

You have now paused internet access on your device. The device will appear in the Parental Controls or Family Time list with a Paused indicator.

On the Linksys app’s dashboard, once Parental Controls or Family Time has been configured, you will see the following.

1. Open a web browser to access your router's web interface or the LinksysSmartWiFi.com page.

2. Choose Parental Controls from the main menu and turn it ON.

3. Pick a device from the list.



4. In the Block Internet access section, select either Always or Specific Times. 

5. Click Ok to save your settings.
